ROLE IN THE CONSORTIUM

I studied cell biology in the Toulouse III University in France, and during my PhD at the Research Center on Animal Cognition in Toulouse (CRCA, CNRS, France) I worked on cell survival and death of neurons focusing on the balance between survival autophagy/mitophagy and apoptotic death related to neurodegenerative disorders. I then did my first postdoc at the Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases in Toulouse (I2MC, Inserm, France) where I studied the involvement of the mitophagy process and its regulation at specific subcellular contact sites between mitochondria and the endoplasmic reticulum in vascular cells in the context of atherosclerosis. I finally joined the Christophe Pierreux’s team at the de Duve Institute in Brussels (UCL, Belgium) to take part in the european Pan3DP project.
