Shlomit Edri

ROLE IN THE CONSORTIUM

Shlomit is a chemical and bio-medical engineer and holds a PhD in Genetics. She recently joined as a postdoc to Shulamit Levenberg’s lab at the Technion after she finished her PhD in Alfonso Martinez-Arias' lab at the University of Cambridge. In her PhD she combined experimental biology work on mouse embryonic stem cells and her engineering background to better understand how chemical signalling and self-cell organization influence the balance between self-renewing stem cells and their decision to differentiate. As part of the Pan3DP project, Shlomit works on establishing the biomaterials needed for printing mouse pancreas progenitors and monitoring their differentiation in vitro in the 3D printed structure.
