ROLE
CEO and CSO

COMPANY
Poietis

ROLE in the consortium

Involved in different WPs to develop bioprinting solutions for engineering pancreatic tissue units.

The laser-assisted bioprinting technology developed by Poietis to produce biological tissue can position cells in 3D with extremely high cellular resolution (on the order of ten microns) and cellular viability (over 95%). Poietis will contribute to the consortium by bringing in this unique bioprinting technology and will participate together with all partners to the design and development of physiological 3D pancreatic-tissue models.

QUALIFICATIONS

Msc in solid State and Inorganic Chemistry and PhD in Material Science. Fabien Guillemot is a leader in the field of tissue engineering and bioprinting. He was group leader of the team Tissue Engineering Assisted by Laser (TEAL) (INSERM U1026) at the University of Bordeaux, France, before founding the SME Poietis, Pessac (France).

Fabien is a founding member of the International Society for Biofabrication (ISBF) and member of the Biofabrication Thematic Group in TERMIS (Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Society). As a PI, he received many awards and research grants and has a good track record of publications (H index=23).
